Hello World Features King Bee from Bronx, NY

Stemming from New York, the artwork by The Royal "Kingbee" impressed curator, Luna George, and we are very proud to announce that Kingbee will have work on display for the Hello World exhibit opening on April 20, 2013 at The Service Station.

Alfredo Bennett, professionally known as The Royal “Kingbee” is a New York City-based artist. He was born in Harlem NY and raised in the Bronx since the early 70’s. He began his illustrious career painting graffiti on walls until gathering recognition and eventually being commissioned to perform his artistic abilities for numerous businesses, public and private all throughout the city of New York. Some commissioned works being for Youngland clothing store, Bacardi Liquor, and Rite-aid just to name a few. Highly talented, respected, mysterious and probably the most underestimated underground artist of our time. Intricate Stencils, Impressive Style: Hello World Welcomes Dave Lowell

Sometimes the absolute skill involved in a piece of art work inspires such awe it helps us to remember why we love art in the first place. Dave Lowell's extremely intricate stencils and free-hand aerosol techniques are one example of art that gets us exhilarated.

With hard-to-match technical cuts and a direct, communicative style have brought Lowell's work to exhibit with legends of the street art genre and current leaders of the new contemporary movement. Hello World is proud to welcome Dave Lowell April 20th at The Service Station.

Exploring the Evolution: Enik One

We're having a great time exploring the evolution of street art through different styles, media and subject matter; through different artists and their stories... and we're so excited to share it with you April 20th at the opening of Hello World, a unique presentation of art and community envisioned by urban art curator, Luna George.

As the show takes shape, we're excited to share the work of EnikOne, a Southern California native who's unique body of work has matured into an amalgamation of graphic designs, mixing his street art, graffiti, typography, stencils, stickers, paste-ups, and silk screens into a style emblematic of the City of Quartz. With over two decades of perfecting these methods on the streets, EnikOne has earned the attention of national and international artists, earning prizes in Los Angeles, Portland, and Germany and has received invitations to show his work in Italy and South Africa among other international locations.

Coming to LA, SEN2

SEN2 - Bushwick - Brooklyn

Sandro Figueroa Garcia “Sen2”, was born in Canteras in 1969, a town in Santurce Puerto Rico. He lived here for most of his childhood and it was here that he was first introduced to art and naturally found a love for colors and artistic forms of expression. From the beginning Sen2 was introduced to graffiti and inspired through what he saw in graffiti magazines, art from artists in L.A, such as Slick & Hex, but it wasn’t until later in the mid 80s during his travels to N.Y.C. that catapulted his passions further. While in N.Y.C he started seeing many different art styles, this is what inspired him to come up with his own flow & style. Returning to Puerto Rico Sen2 began practicing “aerosol art”, the term given for graffiti and street art in Puerto Rico in the early 1980’s. Following his passion for art, commissioned work soon followed in which he performed with other artists such as Rek, Ske, Soze. Relocating to New York City in the mid 1980’s and continuing to see graffiti on the walls and trains throughout the 5 boroughs furthered his fascination to the arts and lead him deeper into the art world.

The borough of “The Bronx” is where Sen2 decided to reside and it was here that he partnered up with the legendary TATS-CRU. Growth progressed naturally and honing his skills throughout the years has brought along many opportunities to create art internationally. This undying love for the arts has allowed him to express himself artistically to other parts of world such as Europe, Germany, Italy, Sweden, Spain, France and Russia. Sen2’s work has been exhibited internationally and has been described as eccentric and captivating. Working primarily with acrylics, his mixed media works combine loud vivid colors and textures creating a highly unique style and energy on canvas. Traveling has opened his eyes and creating art has been and continues to be a blessing.

Multi-talented and very artistically inclined, in 1998 Sen2 started designing for clothing companies such as Tribal, FJ560, Wildstyle Technicians and Miss Sixty. Sen2 loved working with the fashion industry so much that in 2004 he decided to start his own clothing collection called Sen2 Collection, Inc 1986. His clothing still continues to be manufactured in the South Bronx with his partner Leo Marte. His mission through clothing is to pass along his unique vision of the roots and history of graffiti to the next generation through fashion and design.

Sandro “Sen2” Figueroa still continues to reside in the city that never sleeps, Bronx, NY. Here Sen2 still continues to draw inspiration from his surroundings, which happens to be one of the most vibrant cities in the world. Inspiration comes from everywhere but most importantly from his family... Lisa, Nick and Senlee.

We are very proud to be showing artwork by SEN2 for the Hello World exhibit opening on April 20, 2013 at The Service Station. #HelloWorld

Todays Art With Maxx Moses

Today, Maxx Moses aka Pose2 was in LA painting a mural on Olympic and Santa Fe with WERC and Isaias Crow.  These artists are currently on a West Coast tour filling neighborhood walls with color.

Was able to catch up with Maxx Moses while he was painting right quick to pick up his piece for the upcoming exhibit.  His artwork awakened the day.  Unfortunately, the piece was too large that it did not fit into the vehicle.  Never fear, a van will come soon.  Art Life 2013.

Here are some pictures of today's mural being painted by Maxx Moses aka Pose2, WERC and Isaias Crow:

Maxx Moses is everything his bio says he is, check it out:
Writing his name on the New York City subways is where Maxx Moses began. Combining tools of rebellion, spray paint & markers and the knowledge of fine art, he forged his evolutionary style "Concrete Alchemy." "My work is transformational, it is purposely designed to encourage people to think and inspire them to connect with the earth. I mix the energetic shapes and colors of Wild Style lettering with surrealism influenced by dreams and nature.  For Maxx Moses aka Pose2, painting is a process of self discovery, an endless mission of color depth and unknowing.

We look forward to presenting a beautiful painting by Maxx Moses featuring his Concrete Alchemy on canvas at the upcoming exhibit HELLO WORLD opening on April 20, 2013.  Hope to see everyone there.
